I watched the movie yesterday. As a Jim Carrey fan, I loved it but as a regular movie-goer, I say "meh". The movie was really about the book but the number 23 was nothing more than a collection of really nifty coincidences. I'll still buy the dvd when it comes out. Jim looks *awesome* as Detective Fingerling.
I was finished with this drawing on 2/23 but I was having trouble thinking of a background. There is a spoiler, either in the writings or on the image itself. I'm no gonna say anything else. I love the soft colours and the lighting is brilliant. aesthetics aside, it's a moody piece and it's easy to feel something about it.
